Vocal Harmony & Effects for Guitarists

Generate Harmonies On The Fly With TC Helicon's Harmony-G XT

TC Helicon VoiceTone Harmony-G XT Features:

Harmony-G XT; now with Pitch Correction

Auto chromatic pitch correction gently shifts your voice closer on pitch, making you sound better. It's called Auto Chromatic because you don't have to set anything other than turn it on. It's like singing with a person who sings perfectly on pitch. The subtle pitch adjustments improve your sound but they also serve as a guide that helps you sing better too.

Easy Harmony Generation

Harmony-G XT has a good ear for music. It listens to your performance and decides what harmony notes would sound best with your song. Connect your guitar and a mic, choose one of the presets, play guitar and sing. No special guitar pickups, pre-programming, or extensive musical knowledge are required in order to use Harmony-G XT.

Choose Your Sound

You're in control of a wide range of useful, exciting sounds. From a standing position you can switch through the five factory presets, each with a unique setting of effects, harmony and doubling and then choose the A or B effect within each preset. If you only need three presets or you want up to ten, this is configurable in Harmony-G XT.

You can edit the presets easily and store them as your personal combination. For example, the harmony voice interval range offers you an combination of two of the following including two of the same for added thickness:

The "FX" for each preset can be selected as well. Each of the categories of Hall, Room, Echo, Slap, Combi and SFX has three alternates. These are more than just add-on effects! These are the real deal from VoiceLive 2 including combinations of reverb, delay and µmod (micromod) that will put you and your harmony voices in a professional sounding, immersive space.

Overdub Live

In a recording you can layer your lead melody to create extra thickness. Live, it's not so easy. The Double button on Harmony-G XT activates a realistic, overdub style doubling effect on your voice that you can use alone or in tandem with the harmony voices. You have four options for doubling you can choose from:

Better Overall Tone

Don't let that simple-looking Tone button fool you. Beneath is a professional signal chain including:

Once Tone is activated, it remains in effect when harmonies are on and off and even in Bypass so you can chat with your audience using the same great tone as when you sing.

Connect To Your Computer

Harmony-G XT has a USB connection and a free, included web applet called VoiceSupport which allows easy backup and restore of your presets to a computer, fast product registration and up-to-date news on software updates, tips and tricks and demo videos.

FAQ

What is VoiceTone Harmony-G XT?
VoiceTone Harmony-G XTis a vocal harmony & effects pedal for singing guitarists that analyzes the voice and guitar input to produce musically correct, tight harmonies as well as intelligently mixing effects, EQ, dynamics and levels.

Who is VoiceTone Harmony-G XT for?
Harmony-G XT is for the guitar player who sings. It can also be used by singers that do not play guitar and horn players. Solo acoustic guitar performers will especially appreciate the ability to create an automated mix of guitar, harmonies, and effects at the stereo output. Electric guitar players will appreciate having the guitar pass-thru to their amplifiers.

What are the main features?
- Intelligent arrangement of 2-harmony voices based on guitar and voice input
- Complete vocal processing path including harmony, reverb/delayµmod, Adaptive EQ/Dynamics/Gate, and Doubling
- Professional build and sound quality with a no-worry user interface

What will VoiceTone Harmony-G XTdo for me?
When a singing guitarist adds Harmony-G XT to their performance, they will be able to showcase a fully-produced vocal sound. They can get this without having to worry about programming or mixing. However, they do get real-time access to presets and customizable A and B settings to build creative changes into their songs.

How is Harmony-G XT different from the competition?
Harmony-G XT is different from the competition in three areas:
- Value: you get better and more features for less money
- Natural sound: TC-Helicon has a respected history of producing smooth and natural harmony parts and vocal effects
- Quality: the construction quality and fastidious audio design delivers better performance in all aspects of a gigging musician’s life.

Can I use my condenser microphone?
Yes, all VoiceTone pedals can add +48V phantom power to your microphone input to power your condenser microphone.

What audio quality can I expect from VoiceTone products?
You can expect the best audio quality of any floor effects device for any instrument you’ve ever used. In fact, you can expect the same or better audio quality from VoiceTone pedals as you’d expect from high-end recording equipment. Check out the technical specs for more information.

Will I get more feedback with VoiceTone?
Audio feedback is caused by a combination of level, direction, and distance of the microphone to a speaker. The chance of feedback will be similar for you with VoiceTone as it was before. A benefit for anyone who has been plagued by feedback problems is you now control your level, EQ and gating.

Can VoiceTone pedals use batteries?
No, and you’ll appreciate why: guitar pedals often use standard 9V batteries, but to get high-end microphone preamp quality, non-standard and expensive rechargeable batteries would need to be used. This would significantly affect VoiceTone’s price, which we believe most singers wouldn’t appreciate.

It does what is advertised. It cues off your guitar chords to add the correct harmonies. Like in a nanosecond. Signal processing adds richness without over-processing. The doubler is good. Makes me want to gig as an acoustic solo.

I actually really like this unit and the features...however, I get swells of static throughout the night/gig. It may be the atrociously cheap/flimsy power supply. For the price could have supplied a much better power cord, cheapens the value of the unit overall.

GREAT product, right out of the box

Just got this. Really pleasant harmonies. SIMPLE to use. You can also connect a keyboard (line out) to it also. Works GREAT. Use a mono-mono Y-plug and connect BOTH! The doubling effect is quite nice. Wish my other bandmates would get one.

I bought one of these about 6 months ago and I use it in my home studio. I have been playing guitar for more than 30 years and I write and records a lot of original music. I play all the guitars and base and this pedal really adds a lot to the recordings and it really is so simple to use. One of the better investments I have made in the past 10 years and also one that gives a lot of bang for the buck! I highly recommend this.
